WiFi Aviation Provider Trying to Wake Itself Up and GOGO By Testing 5G Software with Virtual Flight Simulator
Broadband connectivity aviation provider, Gogo, Inc. (GOGO) announced today that it is utilizing a state-of-the-art virtual flight simulator to test out its 5G software with intentions to launch later this year.
Gogo’s simulator mimics the airborne radio channel utilized in flight to test Gogo 5G software which enables the technology to mature at a quicker pace before flight testing commences. Upon lab testing completion, Gogo will conduct further flight evaluation and assessment using its Challenger 300 testbed on the company’s 5G network.
Airline passengers may now find a more pleasant experience in flight with less interruptions and greater browsing capacity. The PRISM Zombie Index company has been down ~13% YTD but a successful 5G launch may hopefully help the stock fly onward and up.
