SoundHound (SOUN) Drives Forward and Expands Chat AI Feature in Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall Vehicles Throughout Europe

Today SoundHound AI (SOUN) is making moves currently leading the PRISM NextGen Tech and AI Index as it is trading up ~9%. Yesterday, the company announced it has launched SoundHound Chat AI voice assistant that integrates with ChatGPT in Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall vehicles throughout Europe.

These three vehicle brands reach 11 European markets that include Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. By the end of this month, the rollout will extend to 17 markets and include 12 different languages.

SoundHound AI made strategic moves related to its voice assistant feature earlier this year in March, as Stellantis’ DS Automobiles was the first automaker globally, to go full production with a voice assistant integrated utilizing SoundHound AI’s Chat AI product. Due to its successful launch, it has expanded this feature across Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall.

This milestone reinforces the company’s mission to revolutionize in-vehicle voice assistants and has already received increased adoption as SoundHound data reports a sixfold increase in usage with a 50% rise in interaction frequency by DS Automobiles. This growing demand for sophisticated AI-powered voice assistants among drivers and manufactures positions SoundHound to capitalize on its AI technology offerings.
