Gray Media Leads AdTech and Media Index Following Multi-Year Sports Broadcasting Deal
Gray Media Group (NYSE: GTN) has risen to the top of the AdTech and Media Index, with shares up 9% following the announcement of a multi-year broadcasting agreement with Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). Starting with the 2024-25 academic year, Gray will produce and distribute MVC men’s and women’s basketball regular-season games, as well as opening-round and quarterfinal State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament contests, commonly known as “Arch Madness.”
This deal covers 22 Gray Media markets across Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa, and Tennessee, with third-party partners extending coverage beyond Gray’s footprint. Additionally, the content will be simulcast live nationally on ESPN+.
“Gray is committed to bringing live, local sports to its viewers,” said Sandy Breland, Gray’s Chief Operating Officer. “This collaboration with The Valley will benefit fans, schools, and local communities. We couldn’t be more proud to partner with The Valley.”
Gray-owned Tupelo Honey will produce the broadcasts, bringing the games directly to fans free over-the-air, further expanding Gray’s commitment to delivering live, local sports content.
