Tilray Brands (TLRY) Brews Up Craft Beer Empire with Molson Coors Acquisition

Shares of Tilray Brands (Nasdaq: TLRY) gained momentum following the announcement of its acquisition of four craft breweries from Molson Coors Beverage Company in an all-stock deal. This strategic move reinforces Tilray’s growing influence in the $1.4 billion U.S. alcoholic-beverage market. The merger will position Tilray as one of the largest craft breweries in two key regions: the Pacific Northwest and Georgia. The financial terms of the deal, expected to close this month, were not disclosed.

Tilray is integrating these breweries to solidify its status as a leading hub of craft brands. Irwin D. This latest acquisition expands Tilray’s already impressive list of brewery brands, which includes household names like 10 Barrel Brewing Co., Montauk Brewing Co., Shock Top, Alpine Beer Co., Blue Point Brewing Company, Green Flash Brewery and Distillery Breckenridge among others.

This marks the second significant deal between Tilray and Molson Coors in the past year. Last August, Tilray acquired Molson Coors Canada’s remaining majority stake in cannabis-infused drink maker Truss Beverage. Molson Coors had initially formed Truss in 2018 as a joint venture with Hexo, which Tilray acquired in the summer of 2023, to develop nonalcoholic cannabis drinks for the Canadian market.
