BranchOut Food Advances Collaboration with U.S. Army with Completed Shelf-Life Test

Shares in food technology company, BranchOut Food (Nasdaq: BOF), climbed on Tuesday morning after the company announced it has successfully completed a six month shelf-life test as part of its strategic collaboration with the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM). BranchOut Food is working with DEVCOM to enhance Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs) utilizing its proprietary GentleDry technology which preserves up to 95 percent of the original nutrition of fresh produce.

Eric Healy, CEO of BranchOut Food said all of the company’s products received exceptional scores in the shelf-life and sensory panel tests. Passing this test is a prerequisite for inclusion in an Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E).

“This success is a powerful testament to our proprietary dehydration technology and the consistent quality of our products. The fact that every single product submitted passed these rigorous tests is significant, and we look forward to upcoming field tests and to changing military rations for the better,” commented Mr. Healy.

Items of interest will be included in the next Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) with soldiers in training carrying and consuming the products. Items receiving acceptable scores will move forward for inclusion in the U.S. Army rations program.
