Arizona State University Hints at Classes in the Metaverse – Indicating Future for Web 3.0

Arizona State has plans for the metaverse, indicating a bright future for Web 3.0.
According to filings made with the Patent and Trademark Office, among ASU’s innovative plans are NFTs for event tickets, artwork of campus landmarks, NFTs for sports highlights and classes in a “virtual environment.”
ASU has had great success with their “digital immersion” learning option, which may have prompted the move into the metaverse. ASU is considered one of the largest universities in the country and you can bet other universities will be watching ASU’s Web 3.0 projects closely.
The PRISM Web 3.0 Index is up 3.2% for the day and will be exciting to watch in the near- and long-term.
