PRISM EV: Ideal Power Receives Orders from Global Tier 1 Auto Supplier

Ideal Power Inc. (IPWR) a pioneer in developing and commercializing the highly efficient B-TRAN™ bidirectional semiconductor power switch, announced today that it has received orders from a global Tier 1 automotive supplier listed on the NYSE. This new customer, a prominent supplier of sensors and electrical protection components for automotive electrification and electric vehicles (EVs), marks the latest addition to Ideal Power’s portfolio of Tier 1 suppliers targeting the EV sector.

The Company has been engaging with this Tier 1 auto supplier to demonstrate the benefits of B-TRAN™ technology for EV applications. As a result, the supplier has ordered multiple discrete B-TRAN™ devices, a SymCool® power module, a solid-state circuit breaker evaluation board, and a driver for potential use in solid-state EV contactor applications.
