Cowboy Hats are Becoming Acceptable Golf Attire. TopGolf Breaks Ground on 14th Texas Venue
The “ultimate instigator of play” with over 100+ venues around the globe, TopGolf a brand under TopGolf-Callaway Brands Corp. (MODG) has announced it has broken ground on its 14th Texas location in New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside.
This news comes a few months after having announced that the company was going to perform a strategic review on its TopGolf business which was shortly followed by the announcement that the company intends to separate into two independent companies.
The venue, which is set to open in late 2025, will employ roughly 200 people and will have 62 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays spanning two levels. In addition to the golf highlights, the facility will also have a full-service bar and restaurant, a 216-square-foot video wall, more than 140 HDTVs, mini golf, music and year-round family-friendly offerings. Its outdoor area also includes yard games and fire pits and is sought out as a premier area for team outings, family gatherings, and business meetings.
Topgolf Chief Development Officer Chris Callaway stated, “I’m excited to officially announce that construction efforts are underway on our New Braunfels venue after two years of anticipation. We can’t wait to welcome residents and visitors of New Braunfels to experience our unique style of play soon.”
This year the TopGolf-Callaway Brands stock and PRISM Consumer Products Index company has not performed up to par with a negative return of ~26% YTD.
