Kosmos Energy (KOS) Succeeds In Start of First Oil Production at Winterfell on Gulf of Mexico

PRISM Oil and Gas Index company Kosmos Energy Ltd. (KOS) announced the successful commencement of oil production at the Winterfell development in the Green Canyon area of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

Winterfell, in which Kosmos holds a 25.04% working interest, is a phased development project. The initial phase, consisting of two production wells, is now operational and ramping up output. A third well is currently being drilled and is expected to be online by the end of the third quarter of 2024. The three initial wells are projected to deliver a gross production of approximately 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd).

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andrew G.
