Corporate Cannabis Changes: Jushi Holdings (JUSHF) Appoints COO
The multi-state cannabis operator and PRISM Cannabis Index company, Jushi Holdings Inc. (JUSHF) has appointed Todd West as its Chief Operating Officer (“COO”), effective April 12, 2024.
Bringing over 25 years of operational expertise across retail, manufacturing, and wholesale sectors, including five years in the cannabis industry, Mr. West’s most recent role was as Executive Vice President of Operations at Cresco Labs Inc. (CRLBF). Prior to his cannabis tenure, he spent close to a decade in the food and beverage sector, overseeing various operational facets such as manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, supply chain management, inventory control, new product development, research and development, quality assurance, and retail.
Jim Cacioppo, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and Founder of Jushi, remarked on the appointment, highlighting the significance of Todd’s background in propelling the company’s ongoing optimization of its grower processor footprint. With the aim of accelerating progress and strategically navigating potential federal and state catalysts, Cacioppo emphasized Todd’s role in further enhancing profitability. Initiatives include reducing green waste, enhancing yields and potency, and introducing new higher-margin products across vertical markets to align with their profitability objectives. Additionally, the plan involves fostering increased collaboration between retail stores and grower processor operations to enhance customer experiences.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Todd West underscored the pivotal moment in Jushi’s history and its significant assets in key markets yet to reach their full potential. He anticipates achieving substantial milestones alongside the team, especially amidst the promising regulatory landscape. Highlighting Jushi’s strong foundation built on quality cultivation, renowned brands, innovative products, and exceptional retail experiences, Todd expressed pride in joining the senior leadership team.
