Chart Industries Secures Renewable Green Hydrogen Deal
Shares in clean energy provider, Chart Industries, Inc. (NYSE: GTLS), rose in intraday trading on Tuesday after the company announced it had been awarded an order from Element Resources for its Lancaster Clean Energy Center(LCEC). The partnership will see Element produce over 20,000 tons of renewable green hydrogen annually through its first phase.
LCEC is a major renewable green hydrogen production facility located in the City of Lancaster, California. It will operate off-grid, using dedicated photovoltaic (PV) solar to power Element’s electrolyzers to produce zero-emission, renewable hydrogen. The LCEC is targeted to begin commercial operations in 2026.
