PRISM Emerging Solar Index Skyrockets as Schumer and Manchin Announce New Climate Spending Deal

Solar stocks have skyrocketed today, upon the news of Schumer and Manchin agreeing on spending billions of dollars for electric vehicles, solar panels and other clean-energy priorities.

The packaged includes a record $369 billion dollars for climate and clean energy provisions.

“The entire clean energy industry just breathed an enormous sigh of relief,” said American Clean Power CEO Heather Zichal.

“This is an 11th hour reprieve for climate action and clean energy jobs, and America’s biggest legislative moment for climate and energy policy,” she added.

Investors swarmed to the Solar sector, as seen in the PRISM Emerging Solar Index, which jumped 16.1%. The Index was led by huge gains in Sunhydrogen (46%), Sunnova (28%), Maxeon (27%) and Sunworks (23%).

The PRISM Solar Index is certainly one to watch for the future.
